About Coach

My name is Danny, and I currently serve as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Millersville University while also coaching here at CrossFit Collective. I got my start in strength and conditioning as a student assistant at Kutztown University and have been coaching athletes since 2019. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with college athletes, high school athletes, CrossFit athletes, and members of the general fitness population. I hold my CSCS and CrossFit Level 1 certifications. Sports and training have always been a big part of my life. I grew up playing basketball and baseball and have been fascinated by CrossFit since I was around 12 years old. After years of following the sport and watching the documentaries, I eventually decided to jump in myself and have loved the challenge ever since. What drew me to CrossFit Collective was the people. The support, accountability, and sense of community make it a place where athletes of all backgrounds can challenge themselves, grow, and have fun doing it. What I enjoy most about coaching is helping people accomplish things they once thought were out of reach. Whether it’s lifting a weight they never thought they could, learning a movement they were intimidated by, or simply gaining confidence in themselves, those moments never get old. I believe a coach’s job is to help guide athletes to places they couldn’t have gotten to on their own, but the credit always belongs to the athlete for putting in the work. I also love the relationships that come with coaching and creating an environment where people enjoy showing up every day. If you asked the athletes I coach to describe me, I’d hope they’d say that I genuinely care and want to see them succeed. Outside of the gym, you’ll usually find me spending time with family and friends or watching Philadelphia sports. Go Birds!
